Ultrabeam Hydrographic have moved into new premises at the Marine Renewables Business Park, North Quay, Hayle in Cornwall. The new facility is an ERDF funded 2600 m2 zero carbon business park comprising multi-tenanted commercial workspaces, offices, workshops, storage units, exhibition space and parking. Ultrabeam's unit provides light industrial warehouse-workshop space with integral office and affords an excellent operating base for the company being adjacent to Hayle harbour's quayside and slipway facilities, an ideal location for testing our boats and equipment. The main office building, Chi Gallos, houses individual businesses such as Wave Hub Limited and is home to Marine Hub Cornwall.
Cornwall's history has been shaped by the oceans. With over 400 miles of coastline, no town or village in the region is more than 20 miles from the sea. For centuries, Cornwall's ports and harbours have played a leading role in the international trade of goods and services. Cornwall has also been a major centre for fishing fleets, sailing, boat building and commercial shipping development.
Cornwall accounts for 8% of UK marine industry turnover and an impressive 1 in 7 of all marine jobs in the country. It is estimated that the marine industry in Cornwall is worth £500 million per annum and that it supports more than 14,000 jobs. A great place for Ultrabeam Hydrographic to be based and perfect for our employees looking for a 'lifestyle' choice in work location.
